HAN approach to Digital Educational Resources

HAN wants educators and students to have easy access to high-quality digital educational resources at realistic costs. And also develop digital learning materials ourselves and share them openly so that we contribute to the (inter)national supply. With this Approach, HAN stimulates, facilitates and evaluates the realization of this vision. This will be done in phases. Phase 2 started January 2025.

Open up - Startups

HAN collaborates with the national Npuls program. We actively participates in the scheme: Open Up. For this scheme, several startups (at HAN) have been asked to start developing open educational resources. This evaluates HAN's arranged support, professionalization and technical infrastructure. January – December 2025

Recognize and value working with digital and open educational resources

The HAN vision for OER describes 4 main activities (action perspectives) that are necessary to achieve HAN's ambition for OER. One of these main activities concerns “Stimulating”. This involves both stimulating the theme of OER at HAN and motivating HAN employees to get started with digital learning materials in their teaching. To deepen the main activity of “stimulating”, we started working on a piece about recognizing and valuing employees in the field of digital and OERs.
