Two Open Education Conferences Meet in a Café: What Do They Talk About?

October 30 @ 12:00 am 1:00 am UTC+0

Logos for the Open Education Conference 2024 and the OEGlobal 2024 Conference appear atop empty chairs on each side of a small cafe table.
A place for a casual conversation about open education conferences

Within weeks this year are two long-running open education events: the Open Education Conference (October 8-10, Providence, USA, and hybrid/online) and the Open Education Global Conference (November 13-15, Brisbane, Australia, and online AND conference approach).

This conversation includes representatives from the planners of each conference many of whom are participants in both events. What unfolds in an open conversation includes highlights, outcomes and hopes for their conferences, facilitate greater cross-pollination, encouraging on going community interaction, and navigating the challenges and successes of delivering a conference in alternative formats/modalities for educators unable to attend in person.

Together, we explore what the future conference season might look like. What are their plans for the next round of their open education conferences? And we want to hear from participants in both conferences about their experiences. Tune in to see where this open conversation about where and how open education conferences might evolve next.

This is one of the OEGlobal 2024 Pre/Un Conference events Oct 28 – Nov 1.
