Is my donation secure?
Yes, we use industry-standard SSL technology to keep your information secure.
We partner with Stripe, the industry’s established payment provider trusted by some of the world’s largest companies. Your sensitive financial information never touches our servers. We send all data directly to Stripe’s PCI-compliant servers through SSL.
Is this donation tax deductible?
Open Education Global (OEGlobal) is a Massachusetts-chartered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable corporation. All contributions go to the OEGlobal and will be used at its discretion for its charitable purposes.
Your gift is tax-deductible in the U.S. to the fullest extent permitted by law. For donors outside of the United States, please consult your tax adviser about whether your donation is tax-deductible in your country.
We will email you a donation receipt. Please keep this, as it is your official record to claim this donation as a tax deduction.
How does OEGlobal ensure my personal information is protected?
When you donate to the OEGlobal, we receive personal information from you. We use this data to acknowledge your donation, provide you with donation receipts, and correspond with you through newsletters or email. You can read more about what information we receive, the purposes we use that information for, and how we handle it in our Privacy Policy.
Except as disclosed in our Privacy Policy, we do not share any personal data unless you expressly agree that we may do so. More information is available in our Privacy Policy in the section titled “The Way We Use Information”.
Please note: when you donate to OEGlobal through a third party, such as Stripe, these organisations will collect your data. The collection and use of your data will be governed by their respective privacy policies.
Who else donates to OEGlobal?
There are 400+ active institutional and individual members who support OEGlobal and its mission to promote, support, and advance open education around the world. OEGlobal also receives support in the form of grants from other like-minded major foundations, including organisational support from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
I can’t give money at this time. Are there other ways I can help OEGlobal?
Absolutely! We understand that not everyone is able to support our mission financially. There are several ways to help OEGlobal and be a part of our community. In fact, the success of our mission depends on participation from people exactly like you – passionate about the future of education.
The first place to start is to join our OEG Connect, our community forum, and say hello!
