Liz Yata

Liz has been a dedicated member of the OEGlobal team since 2017. In her role, she oversees and coordinates the activities of the Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources (CCCOER), the US/Canada community college node of OEGlobal. This includes managing membership, organizing online events, workshops, and webinars, and actively engaging with the Open Education community. Liz also plays a pivotal role in supporting major global initiatives such as the annual Open Education Global Conference and Open Education Week.
Prior to joining OEGlobal, Liz earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Davis. She gained valuable experience as an intern at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA, and as a program coordinator at College Open Textbooks, where she was first introduced to the world of Open Educational Resources.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time with her dog and tending to her vegetable garden.
