2024 Call for Proposals is Open!
The Open Education Global Conference 2024 (OEGlobal24) takes place from 13-15 November in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, and focuses on the theme Open Is Everyone’s Business. The deadline for submission is 20th May 2024.
Open Education Global, University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Queensland University of Technology (QUT), and State Library of Queensland, hosts of the Open Education Global (OE Global) 2024 Conference, invites proposals for the conference sessions. The Open Is Everyone’s Business theme is covered in more detail here.
The theme focuses on encouraging the application of openness beyond the domain of librarians, learning designers, and faculty. Openness profoundly impacts and extends across entire institutions and the wider education community. It includes the whole education sector, the GLAM (Gallery, Libraries, Archives, & Museums) sector, policymakers, citizen science groups, and more. All have a role in creating a society where free and open access to knowledge is practised, normalised, and valued.
OE Global 2024 recognises the multifaceted nature of openness and the maturing intersection between open and key societal concepts linked to inclusion, diversity, access, cultural representation, and social justice. Open is used in numerous contexts, including open data, open repositories, open source, open research, open science, open scholarship, open access, and open education.
