Marcela Morales and Igor Lesko (interim Co-Executive Directors at Open Education Global) travelled to Brisbane, Australia, for a series of planning meetings and site visits with the co-hosting institutions of this year’s Open Education Global 2024 Conference (OEGlobal24).
While there, all the organizers recorded this welcome video at the State Library of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.
The conference is co-organized by Open Education Global, the University of Southern Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, and the State Library of Queensland.
OEGlobal 2024 will take place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane, Australia, from November 13-15.
The co-organizers also met with representatives from several organizations operating in Australia, the Australasia region and beyond to discuss collaboration and partnership opportunities. These included Open Access Australasia, the Council of Australian University Librarians, Open Education Special Interest Group Australia, OERu Foundation, and the Open Education Network.
The conference co-organizers look forward to welcoming attendees from around the world for three days of networking, sharing, collaborating and discussing future directions for open education. We are excited to host this year’s conference in Brisbane, Australia, and we hope to see you there!
